We would like to remind our residents that the water castle set up at the Hitchcock Hideaway beach during the summer is a private facility and is set up for the use of their campground tenants. Their tenants must sign a waiver, and their insurance only covers the campers at Hitchcock Hideaway. Please respect this and do not use their facility. ![]()

The access road to the west side of the marina bay is closed until further notice.
We have items to give away for free. It’s a mix of furniture, appliances, mattresses, household items, and outdoor items. Everything will be located under the carport at 414 Vivian Bay in Hitchcock Bay. ![]()

ISO someone to come provide childcare in our home at Hitchcock’s Hideaway from May 1-early October. Could also be an opportunity for a high school student for July and August, or during the school year if they have availability. We are open to piecing together care through any combination during those months. ![]()

Children are 5 and 7. Parents and grandparents are on site, but working. ![]()

Duties could include:![]()
Ensuring they are dressed for the day ![]()
Helping them tidy their messes during the day ![]()
Supervision on the beach or outdoor spaces - ensuring they are safe in the water, applying sunscreen, making sure they stay hydrated and take breaks on hot days ![]()
Preparing and serving a simple lunch ![]()
Optional: help supervise while they do their school work, no more than 2 hours a day ![]()

We like them to get lots of outside time around the property, but they also have lots to do inside with Lego, crafts, etc. Some TV time also ok. ![]()

Watch when travelling east Birsay. Approximately 2.5 miles east of Birsay there is a herd of deer and they don’t want to leave the road due to the deep snow.
